Rosy Carrick
Quick-witted, charismatic and full to the brim with surreal and disgusting imagination, Rosy Carrick’s eccentric style, dense rhyme structures and forceful imagery have won her international acclaim, as well as firmly cementing her place as one of the UK’s most unusual and exciting contemporary poets.
Rosy is currently touring her debut poetry collection Chokey, (Burning Eye Books) Poems for revelling in passion and perversity, for the inspection of violence and pain, for tampering with truth, for always getting your fingers wet, for making lame pigs everywhere powerful.

“Clever, funny, quarrelsome, querulous, astonishing!” Sabotage Reviews

James Turner
A poet and retired unqualified library assistant, likes classical music, philosophy, walking, nature and derelict buildings, and is almost exactly two years older than the NHS. He has lived in Exeter longer than anywhere else, and poetry is something he writes and performs in public. His first collection of poems Forgeries (Original Plus, 2002) has sold out. His second colletion is A Chance of Love: Sonnets of Two Decades (Oversteps Books, 2014). He spends a lot of time photographing weeds (also known as wild flowers), public notices and other oddities and beauties (but not people much).
