Matthew Gordon Price is an alternative folk musician who provides an emotional narrative, with an honest and heartfelt performance, hinting at comparisons to Damien Rice, Marcus Mumford and Glenn Hansard.

Originally from the small seaside town of Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset (UK), Matthew started playing guitar at 11, shortly before discovering his song writing abilities aged 16. Matthew has written and collaborated on over 170 pieces, which includes his debut E.P 'The Bird & The Tree', which was released on January 31st 2016 and reached the top 100 on the ‘Amazon Download Popular Chart’.

Matthew has he found himself supporting the likes of: Beardyman; Sound Of The Sirens; Meadowlark; Seth Lakeman and found himself on the same line-up as Craig David and Benjamin Francis Leftwich. Matthew also performed on multiple occasions for BBC Introducing, including two ‘Live in Sessions’ (Devon & Cornwall) which included ‘The Element’ (Lanky and the Beard) which was upload of the week (UOTW).

The last year or so has been a very exciting time for Matthew as he has developed his music and performed on established stages including: Glas-Denbury’s main stage supporting Martha Reeves; and performed with other artists at Leopallooza; Tunes in the Dunes and more.

Matthew’s second EP ‘Rivalry’ was his first physical record, released on 30th March 2018. This included tracks such as ‘Sweet As Stone’, ‘Vixen Queen’, ‘Numb’ and ‘Rivalry’.
